What year sea horse 15 do I have.

Hello,

I just got a Johnson sea horse 15 from my wife's grandfather looks to be in good shape came with johnson ship master control or you can use the handle to control it.

Modle FD-10S
Serial 1471531

This motor was used on a hand made wood 12 ft boat to bad the boot is shot.

From what I found it seems to be a '56. All I did though was type in "Johnson outboard fd10s and that's what came up. Hope that helps!

Hi Redwing11. Welcome to iboats. Yup looks like you have a '56 15 hp. Great little motor you got there. Motors of that era used a pressurized, two-line gas tank, so make sure that came with it too. If not, you can either get another pressure tank, or you can convert it to a modern fuel pump setup. Well worth the effort to keep her running. These links may help.

Thanks to both of for the info. I did not get tank and hosees with the motor. I had my wife call her brother about thoose items and he is going to check to see if has them. To bad they are in MI and we live CO. Is there anything I will have to do to the carb because I will be using the motor from 5000ft to 10000ft ?
