Hi, I am in desperate need of the torque specs for the flywheel nut. I have the original owners manual and there is nothing in it for any specs. The flywheel has sheared the key off and I am going to replace it but don't know how much to tighten it and it seems a pretty important thing to consider.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks again
Shane

Whoever had the flywheel off last didn't torque the nut correctly or not at all. Owner's Manual never has that info. The OEM shop manual does, however. You only get a few tries at this before the crankshaft and flywheel become junk.

Took me a minute but I found in section 2 General Specifications, page 2-3 torque chart of the OEM shop manual 70-85ftlbs.

BTW, don't use a hardware store key. They aren't hardened like the BRP part is.
