The diagram of the Cylinder and Crankcase for the 55673E shows a rubber seal (#49) but no way to order it.
- Is this called spaghetti seal?
- Is there a particular diameter to use?
- Should I leave the one that's in there alone or replace it?
- Is there a particular source for this material?
Sorry for rapid firing questions and thanks in advance for the help.

Such a simple item. Seems like the gasket kit should come with it. :(

Does anyone know where I can get it online?

After you get the seal , put it together with 3M-847. No Gel-Seal.

You only need a couple of feet of it, might be cheaper to go to your local dealer.

My parts book shows part number is 309044, if that helps....yours requires 2pcs cut to 12-7/8" . It is indeed cut from a 50' roll. I have the 55672E which uses the same parts as yours on this and most other parts.

The person I talked to at the dealer said they have spaghetti gasket ($1.95/ft) and they use it primarily on lower units he thinks. Do you think this is the same material? I would hate to melt a gasket ...

I can't say for sure but if you check the OMC part number(OMC 309044) you will find it is offered by several folks online including EBAY. Looks to be pretty cheap and is referred to as spaghetti gasket / seal. Iboats may even have it.
