On top of my carburetor there is a hose connector **** that is L shaped, that is i guess pressure fit into the top of the carburetor. If im correct its called a Pulse Equalization hose connector.
My question is this.
What does this hose do, or its purpose ?
Also the L connector has come loose from the top of the carburetor. I can push it back in but not sure if it is going to stay in. While running, my motor started idling to low and had hard time running. I found it to be off. I pushed it back in.
My question about this is.
Can I put a small amount of JB Weld on it to insure it stays seated and wont come disconnected again?
I know not to get any into the hole.
Or should i maybe solder it or something?

Also i idled my motor up a hair when i got home and it seems to be running fine now.
But do want to know how to insure my L connector wont come out again.

Thanks for your help

So many posts here might be tough to be seen, since the posts move so quickly down.

I couldn't find the fitting you are talking about in the parts breakdown, but I have had success using JB weld to reinstall fuel fittings in carbs.

It's not shown on the parts breakdown I am looking at, where does it go, to the top of the other carb?

Does it splice off from the carbs and go to the crankcase?

That specific hose only goes from the top of top carb to the top of the bottom carb.

Thanks
The tube that is there puts alot of black on your fingers when touching it so im assuming its broke down and old. So Im guessing i should replace it while im gluing that joint down. Would you use JB weld to adhere that joint to the top of carb?

That's what I normally use, just make sure and clean the fitting and where it goes in really good. I use brake kleen.
