I am new to these forums, so sorry if im doing anything incorrect.
I have a 25hp Johnson 1972 motor. Model numbers are 25EL72R. My woodruff key broke because the guy i bought the motor from, was cleaning the points and didnt put the flywheel nut back on correctly. I need to no what the torque specs are for it(flywheel nut). I am planning on getting a manual but i want to be on the water tomorrow or monday if possible.
Thanks

The older 22 cubic inch 18hp's (same block) were 45 foot lbs. So that'd be my guess.

And welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the quick reply, and 40-45 seems to b the number i keep finding on the forums for smaller outboards. Hopefully ill have my boat back out as soon as i get my woodruff key. I cant thank you enough.

Ok, I have my manual in front of me. The '71-'76 25hp is 480-540 inch pounds. Which is 40-45 ft lbs.
