I am going to replace the head on my 76 35hp johnson. Someone before me had the engine and installed a timesert for cylinder 2 which became stuck to the sparkplug. I went a couple years but now I need new plugs. I got a good deal on the head so rather than get a new timesert/helicoil I am going to replace the head.

Anyway, does anyone know how much to torque the cyclinder head bolts when I get the head installed? I have the service manual I just can't locate the numbers.

I finally found it. First part of the manual 14-16 foot pounds.
