57 Evinrude Pressure Tank Gasket Question

I got tired of the grubby looking tank so I had the tank and top section media blasted, I painted it, installed new decals, and clearcoated it. I am about to install the top section onto the tank adding new gaskets. Should I be using gasket sealer on the cork gasket before reassembling it?
I don't think the old gasket had any sealer and my first thought is not to use any.
Advice?

I replaced mine and did not use any gasket sealer. I don't know if that was correct, but it doesn't leak.

No, you shouldn't use sealer on cork gaskets.
