1974 15hp Evinrude prop nut torque?

New to me 1974 15hp Evinrude 2 stroke. Took prop off and prop nut was finger tight. What is the proper torque when I put a new prop on?

I don't think I have ever torqued one down. I usually tighten the nut finger tight and then tighten it to align the holes to line up the cotter pin.

I called Evinrude and they said 70ft.lbs. Ridiculous. I called Solas where I got my new prop and they said 10-12.

Just snug it up and then go far enuff to put the cotter pin in.
