Hey everyone, I just recently purchased a 15 ft fiberglass boat with a 25 hp Johnson outboard on it. You can tell the shift cable (that puts the motor in reverse or foward) is becoming pretty shot. The outer black covering of the cable is shot and you can see the actual cable coming through it right before it reaches the motor. My question to the experts is what is the exact cable I should be getting? Is it just called a shift cable? I am obviously new to this and just want to make sure I get the correct part. I would really appreciate ANY input on this matter. Thanks for reading!
