i have recently purchased a 1992 sunbird fish/ski 18 ft with a 90 hp johnson vro v4. i took it out for the second time in a month (everyday i have been off it has rained) and when i was getting into it from a stand still, it seems like the prop was slipping and then it caught and took off nice and hard. will a jack plate help this problem and where is the best place to buy one at? this boat is very quick and also fast...can someone please help me with this..by the way the engine is a 1992 also
