I was given a boat and motor by and elderly gentleman (90). He said it ran fine when he was able to use it. Needless to say it sat outside for 10 years and is in sad shape. The motor is free and turns easily but the wiring from the side of the motor to the rear of the motor is corroded and untracable. I was going to rewire it but can't tell where the wires go. It appears to be plugged into a receptacle on the left side of the engine. I am wondering if it would be worth while to take it and have it rewrire and how much that sort of thing would cost. The man said the motor ran very well when he quit using it, so it is anyone's guess. The boat can be repaired and the trailer is good with good tires. Is this do able or not worth the time.
