Evinrude 25hp, Model Number BE25EC0C, serial no. B006945. What year is this please.

Hello there,

It's good to find this website as I am with the Maritime Volunteer Service London Unit, patroling and helping with saftey on the river thames. We are pretty short on engineers in the upper Thames region so this is a perfect place to read and learn.

I have had a read about 25hp Evinrude's and learned a bit.

I wonder if someone can help me with some information.

We have been given an Evinrude 25hp and the model number is BE25EC0C, Serial no. B006945.

Can anyone tell me what year is was made please, so I can research that paticular type of engine.

I am the bosun of the Hurlingham Yacht club in Putney, LONDON on the River Thames, so If anyone is passing then there will always be a freindly cup of tea/coffee or a pint in the evening.

i am thinking 85? not sure using

if someone says i am wrong.... listen to them, as I am not familiar with Brit engine numbers...or european ones either for that matter.

Got it! Thanks Sean. It is a 1985 Evinrude.

It is an 85. The C on the end I believe is just the line in came off of in the factory.

Yeah, that's right.
