Evinrude 28 HP need help with Voltage Regulator

some time ago i bought a omc voltage regulator, but now it finaly comes to installing i have no idea how.

Start by telling us what you are working on. How about a model number, or at least the model year.

If it is an old 1960's vintage, with the accessory generator kit, the regulator is in the junction box cover. But that isn't the original regulator style. Looks like it may be a solid state replacement. I am interested in knowing where you found it, and who made it.

the model number is : 28403 M

i think its from about 1965, but im not exactly sure.
No, this is not the original regulator. i found this one on ebay. on the box is written #383440 OMC. i dont think there is an original junction box, or at least i haven't found it yet. i think the previous owner did not do anything with the generator.
