Can anyone give me this above info for this outboard? serial no. G3117405. It has a johnson 1985 leg on it not the original...

Looks like early 80's, only dealerships can read serial numbers.
Transom looks a bit rough.

Look's more like 89 or newer. 40/50hp.

Do I see something that looks like a model # tag on the stern bracket right by the steering cable ?

yes that is from the Johnson leg......

Try reading the part number from the power pack and see which yrs that fits on www.evinrude.com parts lookup.
also the flywheel number and rectifier. You can zero in like that.
