I have a 78 6 hp Johnson and need the initial Air/fuel setting? because its the air/fuel for idle, Not just fuel adjustment. I think it should be about 3 turns out?
Hi murdock. 3 truns out is an awful lot. I would try 3/4 - 1 1/2 turns. Start at 3/4 then gradually turn it out in 1/8 turn incraments. be sure you wait 5-10 seconds after each adjustment so that it can take effect. here's a great link from the forums whcih should help too.
