Will someone please confirm 60-80 inch/lbs? That's only 6 ft/lbs?? Seems really low to me.

Also, is there a forum help section? I wanted to know if there's a way to look up my old posts other than finding one and clicking an my name and "view forum posts".

Thanks!

60 to 80 inch pounds is correct, to be torqued in the following sequence.

9....10
5.....6
1.....2
4.....3
8.....7

35head.jpg Actually, I better ask, which bolts are what in the sequence? I thought it was Top left then around counter-clockwise, but then I found this...

Thanks again, as always.

that picture shows the correct sequence -no matter what engine you ever work on youll start in the middle and criss cross your way to the ends and then do it one more time checking the torque on each bolt if ANY of them tighten at all on the second go round, check it again until none move

be gentle and make a nice smooth pull on the torque wrench and youll be right on target never yank on any wrench

According to my manual it says the same thing. I was surprised too when I torqued my 40hp head to 15 Ib Ft
