Looking at buying a 60's model vintage Evinrude. Looks like a Big twin to me thought maybe someone could tell me if it is in fact a 1966 60hp. If so this would be 2 cylinder with one carb and mechanical shift right ?

I believe that is a Sportfour, which would be a 4 cylinder 2-stroke. I have a couple from that era, some sportfours and a couple of speedifours. It is a mechanical shift, the electric shifts of that time period were starflites. Hope this helps.

Looks like a 1964 Sportfour. The 60hp motors of that era were all 4 cylinder. The 2 cylinder (bigtwin) would have been 40hp.

Yeah it helps a lot. Trying to stay away from the electric shift. This would have the old twin stick shifter right? I have one from a 66 johnson 33. I think it should work with it.

Yes, it's the twin stick and yours should work just fine.
