2003 johnson 50hp fuse blows

[johnson needs help]

when i push in key to choke my 2003 johnson 50 hp,, 20 amp fuse in back of motor blows

Ckeck the leads to the primer for short curcuit.

If OK, the switch itself could be bad.

If it only blows when you use the choke, you know it has to be in the choke wiring. Check the wires at the solenoid, follow them back into the harness. I'd guess you have cracked or worn through insulation on those wires somewhere - rubbing and shorting out. Or as the man said, the switch could be bad - I'd check wiring first though.
