model 40EL 73D
I was able to get this 40hp motor for a great deal. Its a pull start.
I currently have a 1973 25hp tiller. And its on its last legs.
Id perfer getting a tiller kit for the 40hp and having two operational motors, however
Would i be able to use the 25hp tiller as a parts doner to make my 40hp a tiller? Do they evan MAKE a tiller kit compatible?
This does NOT need to be a perfect swap no matter what route i go.
Can i purchase a tiller handle off ebay that would bolt up, and at least have the throttle on the tiller handle? I can get by rigging the shifting up if i have to. Just looking for a rock solid way of rigging this motor. It's for duck hunting and needs no visual appeal.
Does anyone have any experience. The only thing i really dont wanna do is a big brass pipe with remote controls on the other side of the seat. Now that would be RIGGN!
THanks Justin!
