Remove the cowling and you can get at the motor. I believe there are two clamp/locks (one on each side).

No clasps on the '52. The spark plugs can be accessed through the "door" on the rear of the motor, held in place by two screws. The rest of the cowling must be removed to access the carburetor, or anything else on the powerhead. The screws down the center of the cowling must be removed, as well as the choke knob and the dour screws on the sides of the cowling (two on each side).

I also have a TN 28, I have ordered a manual but will not get here for a few days, what is the tune up specs?
and spark plug number?
