Not on your motor, you need to remove the screws holding the powerhead on, lift off the powerhead and unbolt the shift rod. Then you can remove the bolts holding the gearcase on and drop it to change the impeller. While its apart there is a spring assembly at the top of the driveshaft with a top gasket and seal, replace those as well and inspect the components that make up this seal assembly for broken parts.

1-6 make up this spring/seal assembly, note the shift rod is solid from top to bottom, no coupler, this is why the powerhead needs to come off.
