2005 Evinrude Etec 90hp

Bought boat after taking out a few times motor started cutting out at full throttle. Found fuel lines decomposing from the ethanal fuel replaced them and still cutting out. Boat shop replaced fuel pump same problem wants to replace 3 or 4 fuel injectors. Im thinking it may be ignition problem instead?? Any advice?

sounds like a fuel issue to me.
Does it start easy and does it idle ok?

Did the "boat shop" connected a laptop to the motor and interrogated the EMM? Guessing and replacing parts on these motors can be VERY expensive. Diagnose first! BTW the motor only has three injectors, they are over $500 each and you don't just start replacing them and see what happens, unless you have an unlimited budget. Is the "boat shop" a BRP Evinrude dealer AND E-Tec certified?

I agree if they didnt hook it up to the computer then get it out of there and find a reputible service center. You cannot diagnose any problems with the etech with out hooking it up. The computer does all the test thart you had to do your self. They may be right about the injectors but unless they did the proper diagnostics on the motor then they are just peeing in the wind hoping for the best.

Starts easy and runs, idles great until the boat reaches a certain rpm...then starts cutting out..
