Hello, I just recently acquired an Evinrude 7.5 HP and when I raised the tin it stated to use 1/2 pint per gallon gasoline. I've heard and also read several different postings on this subject. I am hearing 1:16, 1:24, 8 ounces per Gallon (good ole boys at the Marina) etc..... Can someone please clear this up for me?? Thanks guys in advance.

Re: 1950's Evinrude 7.5 Fuel / Oil Mixture

general advice is 1958 and prior use 20:1 ( 6.4 fluid ounces per US gallon)

24:1 from 1959 thru 1963.

See http://www.evinrude.com/en-US/Owners-Center/FAQ/OilAndFuel

But with plain bearings throughout ... no needle rollers ... 16:1 might not be a bad idea ( 1/2 pint or 8 fluid ounces per US gallon)
