1973 85 hp evinrude wiring

I have a 1973 evinrude 85 hp. When I got it, someone had rigged the wiring, to a new ignition switch. I have no idea what wires are which. The engine will not cut off with the switch. I have to use the kill switch to turn off the engine. I purchased a manual, but the wiring diagram is vague. It only covers all 1973 v4 motors. Can anyone help me make heads or tails of the wires to hook this up correctly?

A typical push to choke switch is wired as shown here: http://www.maxrules.com/graphics/omc_pics/REMCONTBOX.jpg

The original switch for your motor was wired as shown in the thumbnail.
