I know i ask a lot of questions but i'm an avid learner. My '67 40 hp johnson RDSL-29E doesnt have side inlets for muffs. How can i hook up a hose to give it water so i can test run it out of water?

Re: Motor Flusher Question

Put it in a trash can with the pump well below the water.
They used to make a flush attachment a long time ago, but they did not work all that well, put it in a trash can.

Re: Motor Flusher Question

get a trash barrel and fill it up to mid way or a bit more....and then test run it....make sure you take the cowl off so it does not suck to much exhaust and make it run different......there was a attachment for them engines..if you can find one..but its very expensive....

I believe your water intake is right behind the prop....
