the electric prime appears to be working. The motor will crank and crank with the electric prime, but not fire. As soon as the prime is switched to manual, the engine immedately starts and runs. What is strange is the tests that are listed in the OMC factory manual for the electic prime all checkout. First test - the solenoid clicks when the key is depressed. Second test, when running at 2,000 rpms pushing in the key to activate the electric prime causes the rpms to drop to 1,000 rpms. Third test - shooting card cleaner through primer shows that both passages are open.

When the engine is running the manifold is drawing vacuum, so it might still not be shooting fuel when the engine is not running.
Any fuel dampness on the primer is a leak, iBoats sells the rebuild kit w/ new seals for $12.

remove a primer hose from a carb. pump up bulb, then push in key, with key in on position. it should shoot gas. they are small hoses, and sometimes get clogged with oil, ethanol etc.
