1995 Johnson 88 HP

Hello,

I am having trouble with my motor. When I push the trim it won't go up or down. I found the release screw and did that while boating to make the engine go almost all the way down, but the little prods seem stuck and won't let the trim drop all the way down. Can someone please help me? Preferably something very simple that I can fix myself.

can you hear the trim motor running, when you press the button?

Yes...it is running when you push the trim button.
