can anyone help? tilt works going up but won't come down. acts like it is running into a blockage and won't let it down. powers into the blockage by the sound.
I have exactly the same problem with a 1975 115 hp. I think it is stuck in the trailering position. I've used the tilt and run lever on the port side, but cannot tell if it is releasing the trailering lock arm (boat is in the water so it is very hard to see what's happening back there. I have no idea how to release it.
