Help with shift rod length on 88 SPL!!!!

Hey all,
I am the newbie here with a question regarding the shift rod length on a Johnson 88 SPL. Model # J90TLCCA. To give some backround i picked up a 73' Cruiser Bonanza with this outboard for a very fair price. When I replaced the impeller, i must have turned the shift rod without knowing it was a critical part of the engagement. So thats where i am stuck for now. TIA i need help

By the wat i searched as best as i could with no avail.,Lol

I don't have an answer on the shift rod, but just FYI, the J90TLCCA is a 1988 90HP Johnson, not an 88 spl.

^^Interesting the engine cover says 88 SPL. Thanks ezeke, exactly the reason why i've joined this helpful community.

I checked that thread buy I believe its not listed, unless I missed it. 1988
