Confused on Fuel/Oil mixture 1985 30hp johnson

Manual floated away. Boat stored for about 2 years. Stamped at fuel connection on motor 100/1. But I think it should be 50:1. Any help on this and why is it stamped 100/1 on motor??? Could that be for break in when new?

For a time OMC recommended 100:1 on some motors, they later retracted that and said to use 50:1 on those motors.

So 50:1 is correct.

Nope. It was just a mistake on OMC's part. They changed their mind later. 50:1 is the right ratio for your outboard.
