Just bought a 89 Stratos with a bunk 200 xp evinrude on it. Motor has low compression on all six cylinders, and I am probably looking at a complete rebuild.
Q1: What is a fair price for the rebuild?
Q2: Anyone know anyone in the northern suburbs of Minneapolis who does this kind of work?
Q3: Does anyone have a 120-150hp that they are looking to get rid of?
I called Bill Bune, Wholesale Marine, and OK Repair and got $4000 as a high number. To be honest a 200 is a little more than I need so ideally I would want to down grade. Ideas anyone?!?!?!?!?!
