I have a 79 Evinrude on a pontoon. It floods after less than 30 seconds. When I open the hood I can see raw gas/oil near the front of the engine. It then leaks in the water. Fuel pump? Carb?
If the fuel is coming out of the carb, then the float is stuck in the carb. A good cleaning and a new kit is in order. See the Top Secert File at the top of this forum. Welcome To IBoats!
