I have a 1968 Johnson 40HP outboard. I just located an NOS lower unit for it, but the unit has no impeller/housing. The new lower unit has a stock tag with a part number: 382921. Can anyone identify the proper impeller/housing for this unit?
At the bottom of this lower unit, there are two holes, one in front of the other. It appears that there should be water tubes from the impeller housing to these holes. The old lower unit I have only has one tube that goes to a hole in the bottom of the unit, so I can't use the impeller/housing from that unit on the new one.
Any help appreciated.
