Stuck! Need help!

My friends and i found an old Johnson outboard/ boat under his deck and we are attempting to get them in working order.

We are trying to work on the engine but cant identify it. The only number we could find on the entire thing was J3203732.

Can any one help us identify this thing?!

That # must be a serial number, need a model number to help you date it correctly. Can you post a pic?

There should be a little black plate on the transom clamp, about 1" x 2" which should have the model and serial number. A lot of the bigger motors have it in the center part, in between the transom clamps, under the lower cowling. Depending on the size the deck is, I suppose one could fit a decent sized boat with a Fat Four under it.
