Hi guys,
Couple of questions.
Firstly the age and possiblly an explanation of the lettering.

These numbes taken from the welch plug.

B14895
J35BALCTS

Also the fuel mixture. It presently has a label near the fuel inlet stating 100/1 which Im not so sure about.

Thanks in advance

Re: Johnson 35hp age

Model #J35BALCTS = 1983 35hp Johnson

Serial #B14895

Use fuel mixture 50/1...... 1 pint of TCW-III 50/1 oil to 6 gallons of gasoline. A octane rating of 87 will be fine.

DO NOT under any circumstances use the disasterous 100/1 mixture!

Re: Johnson 35hp age

Thanks for the info once again.
Still wouldnt mind an explaination of the lettering.I know that the L stands for long shaft, but I can't make sence of the other letters.
