Ok guys I need some help in case I am missing something.
I got last fall a new to me boat with 2 Evinrude motors( 15hp and a 50 hp)
I am trying to do the impellers seals etc on both. I have the 15 hp done ok but on the 75 I cannot seem to get the lower end to drop out. I have removed all the bolts and shift lever bolts etc. as described in my manual but it does not seem to want to drop down. I am afraid to put too much pressure in case I am jamming something inside. It is loose and all bolts are out as well. Is there something I am missing or is maybe the shaft corroded up inside and the splines maybe do not want to let go or is there another hiiden screw or something somewhere not mentioned.
I would appreciate some help. I have had Chrysler ans a few Mercurys in my time but never run into this problem before.
