sealing an outboard fuel tank

any idea's on how to seal a 3hp fuel tank? what to use?

Some have mentioned a sealer that I think is made for motorcycle tanks that you put in the tank and then swish around. Not sure what it's called and I've never tried it. When my tanks leak I go plastic. Best of luck. Rick.

Is it metal or plastic? Metal I would remove and have brazed. If plastic I would check on price of replacment vs having it welded (Not sure if once the plastic is permeated with fuel if it can ever be welded). There are a lot of products that claim to seal but remember if it doesn't work your awful close to the source of ignition when it goes.
