2001 70hp jouhnson tilt/trim trouble

First of all im a newbie here so HI!

As the title states I have a 70 johnson 2001 mod that the power tilt/trim works fine then stops or works very jerky/inconsistant it will stop then start back in a about 45 sec to a min. The relays show power thrue them and click even when the motor is not working. The trim motor gets Hot as do the relays and I cant find any rubed wires anywere shorting out.

Connections, Connections.

The TNT motor draws a fair amount of amps. If your battery connections are not solid, either end (battery and engine) they will create heat and malfunctions.

Yeah thats not it that was the first thing I checked (both ends) even switched the batt twice. Is possible for somthing to be shorting out in the TNT motor its self? It actualy got hot enough to blow the 20 amp main fuse.
