1990 Johnson 88 SPL mixture question and leaking fuel

I am wondering what the proper oil mixture is for this motor i am currently running it 50:1 and it smokes terribly. Also the top carb is leaking fuel when motor is trimmed up. Carbs have been rebuilt a few moths ago but still leaks it is only leaking out of the top carb any suggestions. also what is the best spark plug to run in this engine i am running NGK's

50:1 should be the correct mixture. I run Champion QL82C in my 1996 88

GET RID of the NGK's. OMC's DO NOT like them.

My 1993 88HP came with Champion QL77JC4. Still use those every year and it runs great. 50:1 is what i run in mine.
