I have had this motor for ten plus years and never had a problem. Every winter pull the carbs and clean and do regular maintenance on motor.

Last week put everything back together and ran it on muffs in driveway and it ran like normal (revved to 5500 RPM + and idled fine. I get it out on the water today, it starts right up, but will not run unless you choke it. I' m not sure if I messed something up or not. Any suggestions? Thanks for any info.

pulling choke out directs us to a fuel delivery problem. atleast on one carb. it will rev up on muffs.

remove jets can clean them.

Pulled carbs and cleaned jets. I pulled out what looked like small piece of fiber from a paper towel. I hope that was all it was, since I put the motor back on muffs in driveway and it ran like a champ.

Thanks for the info Tashasdaddy. I got it out on the water again this afternoon, and it ran like normal. Needless to say, I will not use a paper towel again to wipe out carb bowl.
