I pitched my 20' Javelin FS down to a 21" from a 23" and took it out the other day. I got it to hit 5600 RPMs at 52 mph. It took the perfect trim to get it to 5600, and that was with 2 people in the boat, and a fairly light load.

This is on a 96 175 fast strike......I really liked the way it pulled out of the hole compared to the 23". Should I worry about running at WOT with this prop ??

5500 -6000 is where it needs to be. so you should be fine. there is a big difference in the hole shot, between the props, but not too much, for top end. if one is availabe, try a 19 inch same pitch, look out the hole shot will snap your neck. it will also raise your rpms +- 200.
