steps to replacing head gasket

i need to put a new head gasket on my johnson 88spl it is leaking a little water and im not to experienced on outboards and i was just wanting a little advice on how to do it

Those are pretty straight forward. Just remove the 10 bolts holding each head and the hose at the bottom. You'll need a head gasket, 2 deflectors and maybe a hose if it splits on removal. Make sure it's straight before reinstalling but don't cut more than .010" if it's not.
