48 HP SPL Evinrude Manual Tilt

Manual tilt is stuck in the down position, is their a way to get the hydr piston free or off with the motor in the down position??

drive the bottom pin out.

Threaded on both ends, it's one piece??

it has nuts on both ends, remove a nut and drive it out, the only way to get the motor up.

Got the bolt off thanks, now the pin at the top of the piston will not budge an inch. What about heat? Any suggestions?
