help no spark

have a 1974 50hp evinrude no spark on either cylinder replaced the power pack and recitifer still no spark ,tested charge coils at terminal 2&3 on power pack and got 140v ac,disconnected big red connector that goes to controls no spark,anny ideas.

Visually inspect the stator for cracks and/or a substance leaking from it, dripping down on the timer base and powerhead. If this condition exists, replace the stator.

The stator at a fast cranking speed (spark plugs removed) must provide approximately 300v to the powerpack capacitor in order to energize the ignition.
