Was looking under Sierra and Mallory for an aftermarket replacement but I've had no luck.

Does anybody know if the OMC 435918 inline fuel filter was superseded.

I can find 5/16" and 3/8" inline filters but no 5/16" in with 3/8" out.

Figured that it might be easier to get a hold of one. With the OMC filter I get "We don't get many people looking for these" and "it might take a few weeks to get it in" around here.

Best thing for your engine is to get a full-sized water-separating fuel filter and not use that one at all.

In the meantime, order it from a full service BRP aurthorized dealer, they usually get deliveries at least once a week.

Have one of those.

The hoses are pre-formed in that area and different diameters. Just doesn't make sense to be to fab something up where a filter would fit right in and be an extra line of defense.

Anybody know if 435918 is a current number with BRP?

It is a current number. Redundant fuel filters are not current - puts too much load on the line.

So is that, redundant filters put to much load on the product line or is that the fuel system?

It's too much restriction for the fuel pump to overcome easily.
