I have a 96, 9.9 4 stroke Evinrude that is in excellent condition. I know the older 2 stroke 9.9's could be boosted to 15 hp just by changing the carb. Looking at the parts list it seems that the only differance in the 4 stroke 9.9 and 15 is also carb. Does anyone know if this is in fact the case. Also if the carbs are the only differance, can parts be replaced on the 9.9 carb to make it a 15. I see that the 9.9 rpm's are 4500 and the 15 is 6000. Thanks in advance, Bencat
