2008 E-TEC 150 Evinrude

I just bought a 2010 25' Crest pontoon with a 2008 E-TEC 150 Evinrude motor, I won't take delivery of this boat till spring. I want to know if there are any differences between a 2008 and a 2010 E-TEC 150 Evinrude motor and if so what are they?

Not sure about the '08, but I have a pair of small block V6's that are '07's. The fuel injectors are different on the newer motors ('10's) and there may be a number of minor other differences. One thing to be aware of ... never run the fuel tank dry (can cause fuel pump damage, or at minimum a real nuisance of needing to purge the fuel system of all air). Also, make sure the motor is set up for XD100 oil, which is the best choice for all E-Tecs.

Thanks for the information, this will be my second boat the first being a 19' Crownline with an I/O 4.3L Mrec Cruiser. Looking forward to an outboard, easier to work on. Thanks again
