price of scrap aluminum. if the lower unit is good, and the solenoids work. that is where any value is. maybe up to $200. scrap the starter & solenoid, ignition system, and carbs off it, and sell on ebay. there is more money in parts than in the complete motor.

Agree^^^^ with that being an electric shift motor, it probably isn't worth rebuilding. Definitely sell off the controls and the lower unit as those are in demand due to all the NLA parts in them.

Is this a Johnson? I have a 71 Johnson 60hp and might be interested in parts if you decide to part it out.

Re: 71 60hp

it is a johnson. It sucked something up in the bottem carb. and it seized the bottom cylinder. Make me an offer. or it will probably go on ebay.

EDIT, no selling open forum. use the PM system.
