What tool to remove rod cap screws - 95 evinrude 70hp

What type of socket do I need to remove the rod cap screws on my 1995 Evinrude 70hp?

I have have regular sockets and torx sockets but none of them fit. The closest is a 3/8 thin walled socket but that doesn't make a complete fit.

The manual says to use "OMC Torquing Socket P/N 331638". Is there a generic tool I can buy to take these off?

5/16 thin wall std. 12 point socket. Got mine at the local auto store.
