Alternator?

This is probably a no-brainer for anyone who has much experience with Johnson outboards (not me). I was wondering if my 1992 Johnson 40 HP outboard has an alternator or some means of putting juice back in the battery? I am ordering a owner's manual, but I would like to reference something in the mean time.

Got a model number for us. Some motors come with a charging system composed of a rectifier/regulator , stator or charge coils. I/O's or inboards have an alternator, the system on outboards is the same as an alternator assembly but it is broken into pieces for space savings. Stator is under the flywheel, regulator/rectifier bolted somewhere to the powerhead.

Sure it has an alternator. With a $236.00 rectifier. So don't blow it.
